Master of Orion 2 - Play with Steam overlay

  1. In your Steam Game Library, find the game, right click it and click Properties.
  2. Click the Local files tab.
  3. Click the "Browse local files..." button to open up the game folder.
  4. Open "dosboxMOO2.conf" with a text edtior.
  5. Change the line:
    output=overlay
    to
    output=openglnb
  6. Change the line:
    fullresolution=
    to
    fullresolution=1280x960
  7. Save the file.
Note: Attempting to use any higher resolutions will just make the game run with black borders on the side.

Total War: WARHAMMER - Skip Intro Logos

  1. Go to this link to open the "Skip Intro Logos" mod page in Steam.
    Alternatively, you can open it in your web browser, here.
  2. Click the green "Subscribe" button.
  3. Once Steam has downloaded workshop content, run the game.
  4. On the splash screen, click "MOD MANAGER".
  5. Check the "Skip Intro Logos" mod and click PLAY.
The intros should not be shown from now on.

Run Unity games in Borderless Windowed Mode

  1. In your Steam Game Library, find the game. Right click it and click Properties.
  2. Click the "Set launch options..." button.
  3. Type in -popupwindow and click OK.
  4. Run the game in windowed mode.

Add Windows Store Apps as a Non-Steam game

You can add Windows Store apps to Steam as a Non-Steam game, although it currently won't work with the Steam overlay.
  1. Download the StoreAppLauncher zip file (Thanks to: dmix90)
    (It's recommend to use the "Download through your browser option")
  2. Extract the zip file and moves the files to a folder on your computer
    (e.g. C:\Program Files\StoreAppLauncher)
  3. Check if the game you wish to add is in the list below titled "List of AppUserModelId's".
    If it is, move to the next step. If not, follow these steps:
    1. Press the Windows key + R to bring up the Run window.
    2. Type shell:AppsFolder and press Enter to open a folder with all your apps..
    3. Press the Alt key to show the top menu and go to View -> Details
    4. Press the Alt key again and from the top menu, go to View -> Choose details...
    5. Check "AppUserModelId" and click OK.
    6. Find the desired app and take note of the AppUserModelId column.
  4. In Steam, look at the top menu and go to Games -> Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library.
  5. Click Browse.
  6. Go to your StoreAppLauncher folder  and select "StoreAppLauncher_x64" (for 64-bit) or "StoreAppLauncher_x86" for (32-bit).
  7. Click "Add selected programs".
  8. In your Steam library, locate the newly added StoreAppLauncher, right click it and select Properties.
  9. Click in the Target field, add a space at the end and then type in the AppUserModelId.
    Unfortunately, you can't copy and paste this unless it's listed below.
  10. Click Close.

A Fistful of Gun - Unlock All Characters

This can be useful for when you want to play multiplayer with friends without the hassle of unlocking characters first.
  1. Make sure you have run and exited the game at least once.
  2. In your Steam Game Library, find the game, right click it and click Properties.
  3. Click the Local files tab.
  4. Click the "Browse local files..." button to open up the game folder.
  5. Open the "storycharacter.ini" file in a text editor.
  6. If there is a line that reads "[actives]", delete it, along with all the text below it.
  7. Paste in the following:

    [actives]
    8a=1
    4a=1
    9a=1
    7a=1
    10a=1
    11a=1
    6a=1
    5a=1
  8. Save and close the file.

Street Fighter X Tekken - Fix Black Screen, Remove GFWL + Play as PS3 Characters

You can use one of the following patches below. The first will work online and the second will not. You cannot use them both together.

Online Patch

Fixes black screen, crashes and allows online play on modern versions of Windows

Community Mod Patch

Please Note: You can not play online with this patch, as it removes GFWL but there is a different patch that allows online on the same link below.
  • Works on modern versions of Windows
  • No longer requires Games for Windows Live (GFWL)
  • Adds 5 new characters that were originally exclusive to PlayStation platforms:
    • Cole MacGrath
    • Mega Man
    • Pac-Man
    • Kuro
    • Turo
The new characters will now work for all installed languages but will use their English localisation.

Cities: Skylines - Remove Need for Pipes and Power Lines

You can remove the need to use pipes and powerlines by installing 2 mods from the Steam workshop.

  1. Make sure you're logged into the Steam website and for each item, click the green "Subscribe" button:
  2. Launch the game.
  3. From the main menu, click "CONTENT MANAGER".
  4. On the left, click "MODS".
  5. Scroll down to "Remove Need for Pipes" and "Remove Need for Power Lines" and click "On / Off" to enable them.
  6. If prompted with a disclaimer, click "I understand".
  7. Close the Content Manager window.
Please Note:
  • Any water / sewer facilities will still need (at least) 1 pipe connected to them in order to function but this doesn't have to connect to anything else.
  • Power lines will only take effect for new buildings (anything made after the mod was enabled).
